Today, July 6, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 100-200/mt, while falling by $7-12/mt since the beginning of this week amid the rapid currency fluctuations in the country. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 16.84 on Monday, June 4. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 13,900-14,200/mt or $684-698/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most Marmara-based mills were offering rebar at $700/mt ex-works, while a few mills in the region attempted to raise their rebar prices to $720/mt ex-works in the afternoon.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy has closed its rebar sales today.
