Today, August 5, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices in the local currency have risen by TRY 30-90/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis over Tuesday, August 3, mainly due to currency fluctuations and the silence on the demand side. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,900-7,020/mt or $685-697/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. opened its rebar sales at $710/mt ex-works today, equal to TRY 7,150/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering rebar at $705-715/mt ex-works.
Most Izmir-based producers are offering rebar at $685-700/mt ex-works. Sources report $683-684/mt ex-works prices were also on the table earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller opened and closed its rebar sales at TRY 7,050/mt ex-warehouse today, equal to $700/mt ex-warehouse on US dollar basis at the current exchange rate.
