Today, November 29, rebar spot prices in Turkey have mostly increased due to the uptrend of scrap prices and with some traders purchasing certain tonnages amid their expectations of a further increase in local rebar prices in the coming week. Meanwhile, due to the weakness of demand observed in the Iskenderun region, local rebar prices there have moved sideways.
Today, November 29, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices unchanged at TRY 2,508/mt ($436/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices stable at 2,475/mt ($430/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. Meanwhile, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills are offering discounts of TRY 20-40/mt (including VAT) for serious buyers.
