Local Turkish rebar spot prices fall sharply

Today, September 4, spot rebar prices in Turkey have fallen sharply due to the strong drop recorded in import scrap quotations.

Meantime, today, Turkish mill Icdas has reduced its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 51/mt to TRY 2,542/mt ($448/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has also cut its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 85/mt to TRY 2,500/mt ($440/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.

As of today, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
