Today, June 27, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 300-400/mt, while rising by $10-14/mt on US dollar basis against the backdrop of the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and rapid currency fluctuations. The exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 17.38 on Friday, June 24. 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 11,900-12,400/mt or $609-634/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has cut its official rebar price by $30/mt to $630/mt ex-works today. Sources report workable rebar prices are available at $600-640/mt ex-works in the Marmara and Izmir regions.
