Today, October 6, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have declined by TRY 20-30/mt ($2-4/mt) due to the sluggish rebar demand in the local market. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar prices in the overall local Turkish spot market have settled at TRY 4,070-4,120/mt ($443-449/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Today, İçdaş has kept its rebar price at TRY 4,150/mt ($452/mt) ex-works, unchanged both in Turkish liras and US dollars.
Most mills in the Izmir region are currently offering rebar at TRY 4,130/mt ($450/mt) ex-works, down TRY 20/mt ($2/mt) today.
Some local traders are applying aggressive pricing in order to generate sales. “ A few local traders restocked some material while rebar prices indicated slight upward adjustments at the end of last week. However, most local traders are exerting pressure on Turkish mills for further price decreases this week in order to make new purchases.
