While demand in the local Turkish rebar market is still at low levels, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have decreased slightly today, October 3, due to the Turkish lira gaining strength against the US dollar, except in the Iskenderun region where prices have remained unchanged. However, prices have mostly indicated an uptrend on dollar basis due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
Meantime, today, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,373/mt ($418/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 33/mt to TRY 2,339/mt ($412/mt) ex-works, both excluding 18 percent VAT.
