Today, August 11, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 10-20/mt in the local currency, though rising by $2-4/mt on US dollar basis. As a result, 12 mm rebar prices in the Turkish spot market have settled in the range of TRY 3,810-3,860/mt ($446-452/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region. Local traders have reduced their rebar prices slightly in the local currency to generate sales.
Marmara region-based mill Icdas kept its rebar price at TRY 3,900/mt ($457/mt) today, with its dollar price rising by $5/mt. Most mills in this region are currently offering rebar at TRY 3,850/mt ($450/mt) ex-works.
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has also kept its rebar price in Turkish liras at TRY 3,850/mt ($450/mt) ex-works, with its dollar price up by $4/mt.
In the Karabuk region, Yesilyurt is currently offering rebar at TRY 3,900/mt ($457/mt) ex-works, with its dollar price rising by $5/mt today.
