Today, October 1, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have dropped by TRY 30-60/mt compared to Tuesday, September 29, with minor changes in US dollar basis, to offset currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar prices in the overall local Turkish spot market have settled at TRY 4,100-4,170/mt ($449-457/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Today, İçdaş has decreased its official rebar price in the local currency by TRY 90/mt to TRY 4,180/mt ($458/mt) ex-works, with its dollar-based price down $1/mt on the same day from $459/mt ex-works this morning.
An Izmir-based mill has opened its rebar sales at TRY 4,160/mt ($456/mt) ex-works.
In Karabuk, Yolbulan has opened its rebar sales today at TRY 4,160/mt ($456/mt) ex-works, down TRY 30/mt and up by $1/mt on US dollar basis.
In Samsun, Yeşilyurt A.Ş. has also dropped its rebar prices, by TRY 70/mt ($3/mt) to TRY 4,180/mt ($458/mt) ex-works.
Most buyers are in wait-and-see mode for now.
