Today, September 24, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 10-30/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, to offset currency fluctuations after the Turkish Central Bank’s interest rate increase. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar prices in the overall local Turkish spot market have settled at TRY 4,060-4,120/mt ($451-458/mt) ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Today, Icdas has kept its official rebar price stable on Turkish lira basis and increased it by $3/mt on US dollar basis TRY 4,190/mt ($465/mt) ex-works.
Most mills in the Izmir region are not quoting any rebar prices for now.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan has opened its rebar sales at TRY 4,100/mt ($455/mt) ex-works.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has also kept its rebar sales at TRY 4,200/mt ($466/mt) ex-works, stable in Turkish liras, while up by $3/mt on US dollar basis.
The local rebar market is expected to gain more clarity next week.
