Local Turkish rebar spot prices decrease slightly

Rebar spot prices in Turkey have moved down in all regions due to the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. The decrease in prices in the Iskenderun region is higher than in the other regions because rebar demand is fairly low in Iskenderun.

Today, November 13, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,492/mt ($434/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at 2,483/mt ($432 mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. Meanwhile, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills offer discounts of TRY 20-40/mt (including VAT) for serious buyers.
