Today, August 12, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices decreased by TRY 30-80/mt ($1-6/mt) since Tuesday, August 10, against the backdrop of currency fluctuations, the Turkish Central Bank’s decision to keep its interest rate stable, and slow demand. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,880-7,000/mt or $679-691/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are currently offering rebar at $680-710/mt ex-works. However, most local traders are postponing new purchases due to their existing stocks.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales today at TRY 7,050/mt ex-works, equal to $696/mt ex-works.
