Rebar spot prices in Turkey have mostly decreased due to the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, though they have remained stable in the Iskenderun region amid the tightness of availability there.
Today, November 18, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,492/mt ($435/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 25/mt to 2,458/mt ($429 mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. Meanwhile, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills are offering discounts of TRY 20-40/mt (including VAT) for serious buyers.
