Local Turkish rebar market makes an upward start to current week

Domestic rebar prices in Turkey have made an upward start to the current week due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Market sources state that demand received from buyers is still at low levels due to the ongoing local election vote-counting process in Turkey’s major cities.

On the other hand, Turkish steel mill Icdas has announced its domestic 12-32 mm rebar sales prices today, April 8, at TRY 2,850/mt ($501/mt) ex-works. Additionally, another Turkish rebar producer Izmir Demir Celik has announced its new 12-32 mm rebar sales prices at TRY 2,856/mt ($502/mt) ex-works. All prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
