Turkish merchant bar producers have decreased their price quotations due to weak scrap import prices and sluggish demand. SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkish merchant bar producers have reduced their angle prices by an average of TRY 50/mt as compared to Thursday, September 5, to TRY 2,640-2,750/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT. Market sources indicate that buyers are exerting pressure for further price decreases.
