Currently, demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market is at low levels, while buyers continue to conclude merchant bar purchases only in line with their needs. Meanwhile, the rapid upward movement of domestic merchant bar prices in Turkey which started in the first week of February and continued in line with the rises seen in import scrap quotations has slowed down during the past two weeks.
