Domestic merchant bar prices in Turkey have moved sideways in most regions of the country, and there have increased only in Iskenderun, rising by TRY 30/mt over the past two weeks, resulting in a slight uptick in prices on US dollar basis. Local demand remains generally slow amid some seasonal factors and so buyers are mainly maintaining a wait-and-see stance. Market players mainly expect some new moves in the import scrap prices in Turkey. In addition, there are some concerns regarding the ongoing US-Iran tensions.
