Market sources state that domestic billet prices in Taiwan are currently at NTD 16,000-16,200/mt ($535-542/mt) ex-works.
Meanwhile, Taiwanese billet export offers are now at $550/mt FOB with offers to Asian countries standing at $570-575/mt CFR. On the other hand, buyers’ price ideas in the Philippines and Indonesia are in the range of $558-560/mt CFR, making it hard for Taiwanese exporters to conclude billet sales to these destinations.
