Latest situation in local Iranian billet market

Domestic billet prices in Iran have moved down by $5/mt on the lower end over the past week to $465-475/mt ex-works. Billet supply in the local Iranian market has declined amid the tight supply seen in the global electrode market and also due to export sales of large tonnages. As a result, domestic billet prices in Iran are not expected to indicate sharp decreases in the short term.
