On May 24, SteelOrbis reported that Kyoei Steel, Japan’s largest rebar producer, would keep its rebar prices unchanged for June. Kyoei Steel is based in the Osaka region on the western side of Japan. Kyoei Steel announced that it would maintain current price level of around JPY 67,500-68,500/mt ($618-627/mt) ex-mill in the corresponding region, lower than the Tokyo area and eastern part of the country by around JPY 2,000-5,000/mt ($18-46/mt).

In late June, Kyoei Steel has announced that rebar list and contract prices will remain unchanged for July. The price level of JPY 67,500-68,500/mt ($616-625/mt) ex-mill will remain stable, though, due to currency fluctuations prices declined $2/mt.
