Sources inform SteelOrbis that Japanese base rebar prices are at JPY 73,300-74,300/mt ($662-671/mt), ex-works. The source noted that over the past month prices increased by approximately JPY 1000/mt which would usually translate to an increase of $9-10/mt, but due to currency fluctuations, the effect in dollar terms has been slightly dampened.
