SteelOrbis has been informed that today, July 7, an Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has opened its wire rod sales at $720/mt ex-works, up by $20/mt compared to Monday, July 4. The mill had increased its wire rod price by $10/mt to $710/mt ex-works earlier today and raised its wire rod price by another $10/mt in the afternoon to $720/mt ex-work against the backdrop of higher scrap prices and Kardemir’s recent wire rod price hike. Sources report prices above $700/mt ex-works are somewhat difficult for buyers to achieve now.
