Turkish wire rod export prices to the international markets have remained stable during the past week in the range of $590-600/mt FOB. Since demand received from Turkish wire rod producers’ domestic and export markets have been at good levels for a long time now, the producers have already received quiet a lot of orders and so it is believed that Turkish wire rod export offers will move up slightly in the short term, also with the support of the upward trend of import scrap quotations following their previous downward movement. Additionally, a steel mill in Turkey’s Iskenderun region has concluded wire rod sales totaling 30,000 mt to several countries in Europe at $590/mt FOB.
