During the past two weeks, international demand for Greek rebar has remained at low levels. Having received weak demand from their export markets for some time now, Greek rebar suppliers state that price inquiries from Algeria - one of their main markets - have increased, though they are still on the slack side. On the other hand, market sources report that whether Greek rebar exporters will be able to conclude sales to the US in the coming period will become clear after the negotiations between the parties regarding the Section 232 tariffs reach a conclusion.

Currently, rebar export prices from Greece are at €490-500/mt ($573-585/mt) FOB, while Greek wire rod export offers are at €510/mt ($597/mt) FOB.
