International demand for Greek rebar has remained weak for the fourth consecutive week. Market sources state that buyers in Algeria - Greece’s main rebar export market - are making price inquiries for Greek rebar, though significantly fewer than in previous years, while they also prefer domestic rebar due to its more attractive prices. According to market sources, international demand for Greek rebar is not expected to increase in the coming period since the summer, which is traditionally a slow season in terms of demand for Greek rebar, has already started. Additionally, Greek rebar export offers have remained stable week on week at €490-500/mt ($578-590/mt) FOB.
