Rebar export prices from Greece to the international market have remained stable over the past two week and are still at €495-500/mt ($614-620/mt) FOB. Although global scrap and billet prices have increased in the same period, demand from Greek rebar producers’ main export markets such as southern Cyprus and Algeria has been at low levels, preventing Greek rebar export prices from moving upwards. Market sources report that Greek rebar export prices to Algeria are currently at €515/mt ($639/mt) CFR.
