Turkish rebar export offers have moved sideways at $445-450/mt FOB over the past week. Most international buyers are on hold for new purchases due to the silence in the scrap market and the summer holiday period. The local Turkish rebar market is also quiet in terms of fresh sales this week.

In the wire rod segment, Turkey’s export offers have remained at $480-490/mt FOB over the past week, mainly for late September-October shipments. As of August 13, the remaining unused EU quota for Turkish wire rod was only around 7,000 mt out of 79,478 mt. Most European buyers are expected to be back by the end of the month.
