Ex-southern European rebar offers not so attractive for Algerian buyers

According to market sources, a Spanish steel producer's rebar offers to the Algerian market have been at approximately €438/mt ($473/mt) CFR this week, while ex-Italy rebar offers to Algeria are at €415/mt ($448/mt) FOB.

Even though demand for rebar in Algeria is not so strong, some import bookings have continued to be concluded in the country. However, the main factor which limits demand for rebar in Algeria is the gap between imported rebar offer prices and the price level of €430/mt ($464/mt) CFR which Algerian buyers are seeking.
