As compared to price levels recorded on January 19, ex-CIS rebar export prices have decreased by an average of $10/mt to $550-560/mt FOB.

Meanwhile, ex-CIS wire rod export quotations have moved up by $10/mt in the same period to $590-600/mt FOB. Market sources state that CIS-based wire rod mills are unwilling to conclude sales for March output for now as they believe wire rod prices will increase, and so ex-CIS wire rod offers in the international markets are currently limited.
