SteelOrbis has been informed that ex-CIS billet offers have decreased by an average of $10/mt week on week to $465-470/mt FOB. This new price range has gained acceptance from international buyers.

No new ex-CIS billet offer to Turkey - one of CIS-based billet suppliers’ traditional export markets - has been heard in the given week. In the same period, ex-CIS billet offers to Egypt, where buyers have only made a limited number of price inquiries, have stood at $480-490/mt CFR. Over the past week, CIS-based billet exporters have concluded sales to the Far East and Algeria, which were closed at price levels closer to the lower end of the price range.
