In the current week, demand in the international markets for billet exports from the CIS region has remained at low levels, while ex-CIS billet export prices have moved sideways week on week at $390-400/mt FOB.

In the same period, demand for import billet in Turkey - one of the most important markets for CIS-based billet exporters - has remained weak amid the ongoing political and economic uncertainties in Turkey and also due to the sharp depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Meanwhile, ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey are unchanged week on week at $405-415/mt CFR.
