During the past week, ex-CIS billet prices to the export markets have remained unchanged at $410-420/mt FOB.

As a result, CIS-based suppliers' offers to Turkey and Egypt have moved sideways at $425-435/mt CFR and $430-440/mt CFR, respectively. Market sources report that buyers in these countries consider the price ranges in question to be on the high side, while demand for ex-CIS billet in Turkey and Egypt has remained at low levels over the past week.

SteelOrbis has been informed that CIS-based suppliers, having for a long time now received poor demand from target markets such as Turkey and Egypt, are focusing on African and Far East markets and have concluded billet sales to these regions at levels of $410-415/mt FOB.
