During the past week, ex-CIS billet prices to the export markets have declined by an average of $10/mt to $400-410/mt FOB.

Although it is heard that Turkish buyers have concluded ex-CIS billet purchases at $423/mt CFR over the past week, market sources report that demand in Turkey for billet from the CIS region has not indicated any remarkable improvement. Following the downward revision of CIS-based billet suppliers' prices, ex-CIS billet quotations for Turkey are seen in the range of $410-420/mt CFR.

Additionally, after the downward price revision by CIS-based billet suppliers, ex-CIS billet offers to Egypt are now in the range of $410-420/mt CFR. Demand for ex-CIS billet in Egypt has not improved during the past week.
