With the influence of the rises recorded in global scrap prices over the past week, CIS-based billet producers have increased their offers to the international markets by $5/mt on the upper end week on week to $450-460/mt FOB. Market sources state that trading companies have offered firm bids to producers at $440-445/mt FOB, but no deal has been concluded at these levels in the given week.
