During the past week, trading activity for billet exports from the CIS region has been quiet due to the holiday season, while it is observed that most billet suppliers in the region have not yet returned to the market.

Market sources report that the few ex-CIS billet offers given to the international markets are currently at $515-525/mt FOB, with offers mostly being at the high end of this price range.

Over the past week, no new ex-CIS billet offer to Turkey or Egypt has been heard. Last week, ex-CIS billet offers to these countries were respectively at $530-535/mt CFR and $535-540/mt CFR.
