Ex-Turkey merchant bar prices move sideways

Turkish equal angle official export offers have remained unchanged at $700-720/mt FOB for January shipment over the past week. The main reasons are that most international buyers are in wait-and-see mode ahead of the holiday season, though Middle Eastern buyers are more active than European and North African buyers, SteelOrbis has heard.

A few re-rollers are aiming to increase their export prices by next week amid higher import scrap prices, though most international buyers are exerting pressure for further discounts and are not very supportive of any possible price increase.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

700-720

IPN-UPN
