The domestic rebar market in Dubai has been quiet in terms of activity. Meanwhile, most end-users have started to wait for local steel mills' new rebar offers for January, while rebar prices in the spot market have been softening by small margins.
In the meantime, rebar prices in the spot market are standing at AED 2,250-2,300/mt ($613-627/mt) ex-warehouse, on 120-day deferred payment basis, while the market will likely continue to remain quiet in terms of activity until the end of the current month.
