Domestic wire rod prices increase in Turkey

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes. 

Demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has remained lively over the past week. With import scrap quotations continuing to rise, Turkish mills have increased their domestic wire rod prices by an average of $20/mt week on week as they try to compensate for higher production costs. The new price levels in the local Turkish wire rod market are observed to have gained acceptance.
