Domestic wire rod prices in Turkey increase further

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

 The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes. 

The increases recorded over the past two weeks in import scrap prices in Turkey as well as in domestic and import billet prices continue to push up domestic wire rod prices in Turkey. Meanwhile, market sources state that buyers have accelerated their domestic wire rod purchases slightly compared to last week due to their expectations of a further rise in prices.
