Domestic rebar prices in Turkey move upwards

Domestic rebar prices in Turkey have increased as a result of the US decision to decrease the duty on import steel from Turkey to 25 percent and also due to the rises recorded in scrap quotations.

As of today, May 17, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 50/mt to TRY 2,880/mt ($474/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has raised its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 68/mt to TRY 2,881/mt ($475/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
