Domestic rebar prices in Turkey move up

Domestic rebar prices in Turkey have increased due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar following the Turkish Supreme Electoral Council’s decision to repeat local elections in Istanbul.

Today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 80/mt to TRY 2,960/mt ($482/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has raised its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 42/mt to TRY 2,924/mt ($476/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.

As of today, May 7, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
