It is observed that demand in the local Turkish rebar market is still at low levels. Meanwhile, the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar throughout of last week has caused domestic rebar prices in Turkey to mostly decline by TRY 10-40/mt since October 12, except in Turkey’s Izmir region, where prices have moved sideways in the same period since they had declined slightly more in the middle of last week.
