The appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar has mostly been reflected as an decrease in prices in the local Turkish rebar market. But due to the tightness of supply in Turkey’s Iskenderun region for some dimensions, domestic rebar prices in this region have moved up.
Additionally, today, Turkish mill Icdas has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 20/mt to TRY 2,960/mt ($488/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices stable at TRY 2,966/mt ($489/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
