Turkish rebar mills’ production costs have increased slightly due to the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar recorded since SteelOrbis’ report published yesterday, June 12. Accordingly, Turkish mills have raised their domestic rebar prices as compared to yesterday. Also, SteelOrbis has been informed that demand in the local Turkish rebar market has revived slightly.
Additionally, today, Turkish mill Izmir Demir Celik has increased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 25/mt to TRY 2,780/mt ($476/mt) ex-works, while Icdas has raised its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 10/mt to TRY 2,770/mt ($474/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
