Domestic rebar prices in Turkey decrease again

Spot prices in the local Turkish rebar market have been revised downwards amid the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. SteelOrbis has heard that traders who are experiencing cash flow problems since it is the end of the current month are offering lower prices to their domestic market.

Additionally, today, Turkish mill Izmir Demir Celik has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 34/mt to TRY 2,907/mt ($491/mt) ex-works, while Icdas has reduced its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY30/mt to TRY 2,910/mt ($492/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.

As of today, May 30, rebar offers in the Turkish spot market are as follows:
