While buyers are in Turkey’s Marmara region are in no rush to conclude new purchases, buyers in Iskenderun region are making more deals.

Today, May 7, Turkish producer Icdas announced its 12-32 mm rebar prices in Turkey's Marmara region at TRY 2,415/mt ($567/mt) + VAT ex-works, while Bastug Metalurji's domestic rebar quotations for 12-32 mm rebar are now at TRY 2,415/mt ($567/mt) ex-works and excluding VAT. Accordingly, both steel mills in question raised their domestic rebar prices by TRY 34/mt as compared to their previous price lists. Meanwhile, rebar prices in the Turkish spot market have increased by TRY 42-43/mt since SteelOrbis’ report published on May 3.
