SteelOrbis has learnt that domestic rebar bookings in Egypt are still limited to meeting the immediate needs of buyers, who have avoided building up their inventories. Local Egyptian rebar producers have kept their rebar offers stable at EGP 11,800-12,200/mt ($658-681/mt) ex-works, including 14 percent VAT, supported by high import prices of billet and scrap, despite the low demand.
