Domestic rebar and import billet prices in Taiwanese market

According to market sources, prices in local Taiwanese rebar market are currently in the range of NTD 12,900-13,000/mt ($421-424/mt) ex-works, indicating a decline of NTD 225/mt as compared to earlier this week, though prices on US dollar basis have declined by $6/mt in the same period due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate.
 
Meanwhile, Chinese offers to Taiwan for chrome-added or titanium-added billet have decreased by $18/mt month on month to $358-361/mt CFR for June shipment, while Taiwanese buyers' firm bids are at $350-351/mt CFR.
