It is observed that domestic billet prices in Iran have increased by an average of $17.5/mt compared to the price levels recorded on June 19 to $400-405/mt ex-works. On the other hand, demand for domestic billet in Iran is still at low levels, and so market sources state that the rises seen in domestic billet prices have been caused by the decline in billet supply and also by the increases seen in raw material quotations.
