Demand still weak in local Egyptian rebar market

Despite better weather conditions and the ongoing construction activities in their country, Egyptian buyers are unwilling to conclude rebar purchases at high prices and so they are postponing new deals. Meanwhile, Egyptian rebar producers are avoiding low-priced sales as they already have a busy production schedule due to the orders they previously received from their domestic market.

Under these circumstances, Egyptian rebar mills have kept their domestic offers stable week on week at EGP 12,525-12,996/mt ($710-736/mt) ex-works.

$1 = EGP 17.65
